Yes its his job to mark everyone at the same time and cover all of the pitch at the same time too. You talk some shit
Oh just bore off, the guy is as immobile as Garcia, and is not even better than Gareth Barry.
Fernandinho used to cover for the likes of Yaya and Silva, due to that our midfield's fluidity didn't use to suffer, because Ferna's mobility allowed them to move further up the pitch, while Bernardo's creative side of the game clearly gets affected when he has to cover for Rodri. Last night was the testament to that, as soon as Guardiola allowed Bernardo to vacate his position to exploit Madrid's midfield, not only we looked more threatening but Madrid players started to ran ring around Rodri.
Put Maldini and Nesta in the defense, they would choke too, if they have Rodri jogging in front of them, and that coincides with Dias vacating his position last night more than few number of times to carry forward the ball, who clearly didn't trust Rodri to evade Madrid's press.
Here is a simple question to those who gets orgasm whenever Rodri scores a screamer, would we be still in the title race, if Bernardo, who is not a defensive midfielder, had left us in the summer? We would be anyway, if we had prime Fernandinho.
