This man is a Rolls Royce. His positional play is just superb and he won it again and again and distributed it brilliantly. Kovacic and Kante is a difficult pairing but one look at the stats will prove, I am certain, that he was the midfield boss.

In the pre-game warm up, Pep must have turned on Rodri’s “Beast mode.”

What an absolute cracker he has become. Was a fan from the outset, but this season he MUST be in the running for PFA Team of the Year AND PFA Player of the Year.

Love the lad, and he is everything any team would love in a player…quiet, unassuming, but an absolute master of his art.

Pressed a little too high first half which left gaps but quickly adjusted and provided a solid platform infront of stones and laporte to completely negate Chelsea's plan to play up and off lukaku.

I’ve ran out of words for this guy. An irreplaceable giant.

One thing I loved seeing was in the first half, we were pressing Chelsea and let them out too easy. When it went out, he turned around and unleashed a bollocking on Grealish and Cancelo - both of which acknowledged it. I know it’s nothing new in football but it’s definitely not something we’re used to seeing in this team.

Best in the world at what he does. I was so worried about Fernandinho getting on, the club have played a blinder with Rodders!

He has Pep's mentality. Doesn't take tactical mistakes lightly. :)

Seems to fly under the radar a lot with opposition fans, but make no mistake, he's one of the best holding midfielders in the world.

After the Arsenal win I saw a few of their fans talking about how Partey walks into our team any day of the week.

I know they've got a particularly strong reputation for overhyping their own players but I did think it was funny how they thought someone who isn't even one of the top performers on the (just about) fourth placed team in the league is somehow unquestionably better than arguably the most important player in the team who are absolutely fucking lightyears ahead of them.

In their defence, it took our own fans far too long to catch on and they watch him every week.

If we had ANY Rodri, we'd have won :(

Nope, Rodri towards the end of last season is very poor. If Pep put him on the final and he makes a mistake that leads opposition to goal in Final. There will be many in here will be calling his head, that he never deserve to replace Fernandinho and wants him immediately sold.
