Weird game today, large periods of brilliance peppered with moments of pure shit. caught wrong side a few too many times than is acceptable, bailed out by others, could have been costly against better opponents. a largely good game but the brainfarts need to be cut out

Gundogan relieves that pressure, plays much closer and provides options others don’t
 
I thought he was probably our best overall, barring a moment or two.

Picked up some weirdly attacking positions today. Wonder if it's a one off.
 
Read somewhere that covid affects the performances. Rodri has made mistakes in the last 2-3 games which were absent before Christmas. Still top quality, though. Hopefully, he'll back to his very best after the break.

Also, he should shoot mote often. If he adds more goal involvements to his game, he will be one of the best midfielders, not just DMs, in the world full stop.
 
Second only to Bernie as the best midfielder in the league this season, he's bossing games now. Today wasn't his best performance of the season but he still had a big influence on the game
 
Like Fernandinho in the home game, they targeted him when he was on the ball by pressing with 4 players. Literally sprinting at hin from all angles. And then they tried to starve him of the ball when he didn't have it.

Anybody in the world would struggle with that.
