Needs a rest against Luton but the way we play without him not sure that’ll be possible

Not his best game but, dear me, people do overreact.

Rodri lost more ball than normal but still made very few errors.

His pass completion was a fraction better than his average for City but he made more passes than average. His number of tackles and interceptions was above average.

He lost the ball by being dispossessed or through an unsuccessful touch three times in total (which is about double average) but one of those unsuccessful touches was really Foden’s fault for pinging a ball at Rodri far too hard.

he needs a rest since a long time but Txiki buys likes of Phillips, Nunes for lot of money etc who are not helping at all to be able to rotate Rodri even for a few games or not helping much in any other sense...
we are piss lucky he didnt have have an injury last two years where is out for 2-3 months or so.

Rodri it won't help u if u keep passing to someone who cannot hold the ball. Try Bernado and Grealish next time...

He's been telling it to anybody who wants to listen that he is close to being dead. The same happened towards the end of the last season.

So what games can he possibly be rested in?
Saturday's looks like the obvious one. Is that it?

There was a time in the Palace game on Sunday where i thought for a few seconds that he was concussed as he gave a few strange passes
