The transformation of Rodri has been staggering since his first season when he was slow and indecisive. Since then he's become a Rolls Royce player, and like Fernandinho before him, Rodri is our most important player and certainly the best midfielder in world football right now.

Has looked tired in the last couple of games and had momentary lapses in concentration. They only stand out because he has set the highest of standards, but we really could do with some hands on deck to give him a breather.

I think he gives a ball away in a bad position in a lot of games and it is something he can improve on. He’s not at Xavi level yet in that regard. However, relative to how often he touches the ball, it’s a low error percentage.

Rodri is though immensely good and should be in the Ballon D’Or top three this year.

However didn’t even make PL team of the season.

Casemiro who was sent off twice and missed 8 games through suspension.

Played a total of 28 PL games.

Was deemed better than Rodri who played 36 of our games, was the heartbeat of our team and just 5 yellow cards.
