That does sound reassuring, though I did notice Nunes this afternoon seemed a bit on the weak side when it came to the physicality of the game, in a way the other players mentioned aren’t.

Or maybe my recollection of the game is wrong. Could be tbf, cos I did enjoy myself today.

Nunes definitely doesn't have the physicality of Rodri

Rodri is a unit, players often bounce off him when he's shielding the ball.

Stupid from him, but it's his first time and it could happen to anyone. Arsenal game will be tougher than it already is but tiny bit of positivity is that he'll only play three games (vs RBL, couple for Spanish NT) in the next one month and will be rested and fit for the remainder of the season.

Shocking from him really especially with his importance to the team. Pep will rightfully be disappointed and even more so if City drop point in the next 3 games.

He one of the pillars of this City team and the functions he provided is very important for the City system.

Doesn’t he only miss 2 league games ?

Oof, just seen Pep’s press conference… Rodri is in the doggiest of dog houses!

Reporter, ‘are you angry with Rodri? the other day you said he was the best midfield player in the world’

Pep, ‘Angry?! Yes the other day I did, but today Rodri is not the best midfield player in the world [scathing look and ironic smirk on his face while shaking his head], angry, yes!’

Rodri needed rest anyway and I guess an enforced rest was the only way it was going to happen. I thought he had looked tired in recent weeks and had made uncharacteristic mistakes in the last three games. He was also smarting from having his toe stamped on in the first half.

We came through unscathed yesterday and now have two games to play without him before Arsenal pose a sterner test. We’re not a one-man team and we’ll manage and learn from his absence. In turn, he’ll get much needed rest and be back for Brighton and that lot.

Pep was angry but he plainly did not think Rodri was any less of a player.

Unlike what happened with Kyle Rodri will be straight back in the side when he is available.

It was out of character for Rodri. Frustrating but no one is perfect.

Still think Red Tony was too quick to reach for the red card but I am biased.
