Others need to step up, I sometimes wonder if Jack has the makings of a 6 in this later stage in his career? Maybe wishful thinking but you never know - he has all the skills needed except perhaps heading. Rodri is a one off as the complete CDM so virtually impossible to find a ready made replacement.

One thing Jack shares with Rodders is they're incredible at shielding the ball and almost never lose it.

Just going off comments in the media, it sounds like Rodri did some initial tests with City on Sunday, went off to Cugat for some more scans and tests last night, and has now gone to his own doctors in Madrid to get a second, third opinion etc. He just wants a clear picture and he can obviously afford the private medical fees. ACL ruptures don't mean what they used to but Rodri will still be 29 by the time he comes back from this and he's going to want to plan his treatment as meticulously as possible as he moves into the last third of his career.

Didn't Kev had same injury in 2018 ?

After that injury Kev had number of seasons where he was World Class..

I'm sure Club will do its best to help Rodri and he will give us another 5 years of World Class football

So long as Kovacic remains injury free and continues with the form he's had thus far... we'll survive the Rodri injury.

At the same time, expecting Kovacic to remain injury free throughout the season is unreasonable. We now need backup at defensive mid.
