16 | Rodri 2025/26

I can't see him staying now, the teams peaked and is levels below the treble side. Just not sure which top club would go after him at the moment after his injury and age.

Hope I'm wrong and he takes it upon himself to be the leader of city post Pep.

Think he'd suit Bayern if he was to leave

Rodri may conclude, especially after a summer amongst compatriots, that his time in England is done and that his body is no longer up to the demands of another domestic season.
It might be prudent therefore to plan for succession and work toward a more dynamic midfield.

That was as bad as I’ve ever seen him tonight they were targeting him in possession hopefully had a good World Cup and fit for next season

Looks way off the pace but he has missed nearly two seasons. Still worth keeping but see how things pan out before committing to giving him a new deal.

He looked absolutely f*cked in the 2nd half , credit to the guy for giving his all for the cause , hopefully a decent rest in the summer (apart from the World Cup) and he will be fresh and ready to go under the new regime.

Looked dead on his feet early doors but what did we expect.
He's still trying to get fully fit and that month out didn't help him.
He needs to rest up, which will be hard with the World Cup, but hopefully next season he's back to his best.

Surprisingly after being completely unfit at the weekend he was still unfit today. I'd say he was at 40% today which shows how little faith Pep has in Gonzales.
or how stubborn Pep is playing his favourites, I said this the other day in the final too, Rodri is gassed and not match fit by a long way, yet Pep picks him in two of the most important games of the season.

He may want to be the leader of City, post Pep ?
But, is he ever going to regain the form and fitness he once had.
Looked plum-tuckered before half time, will get too many bookings because his body cannot get to where his brain wants it to go.
Doubt now if a really top team would take the gamble on him...
