I read that the deal was supposed to be lesser than what he is earning now, but all the way till he's 35. Cuz the club doesn't want to hold him on too huge a deal when he gets much older. So like KDB earns more than he would be over time or something?

IMO, his deal has nothing to do with Messi, unlike what some papers spin it to be.

From what gathered, he is just generally pretty relaxed about the situation. And his contract runs till 2023 so there's no rush.

Read some bollox about him not signing a new contract because it’s less than he should be getting because city are holding back just in case we go for messi and need the money . We need to remember that this guy should be getting more than messi. Anyway . Kevin de bruyne is our Lionel messi

I’ve been told that he doesn’t have an agent (Kev filed a complaint about his previous agent that resulted in him being locked up for money laundering!)

With playing all these games week after week, no pre-season, no break, home away Europe, internationals... talks just haven’t happened as there hasn’t been time to really sit down and get a deal sorted out because he’s going to sort it all out with the club himself.
