I was one of those who was worried about him in the autumn, he had a few games where he was shocking.

He's come to the boil at exactly the right time. I've always been a David Silva man, but objectively De Bruyne is ahead of him - genuinely world class at the moment. @twosips posted a comparison with Zidane on twitter the other day and some people jumped down his throat. He's absolutely spot on in my view. De Bruyne is an all-timer now I reckon

Soon as he signed he was our best player. It reminded me of Lewandowski going Bayern. There were a few truly world class players at Bayern (Robben, Ribery, Lahm etc) as there was at City (Aguero, Silva, Yaya) but its like they all took a backwards step as soon as KDB (and Lewandowski) started playing for us. That's why I think he's greater than any player who's ever played for us and a top 5 PL player ever.

He wasn’t written off. Everyone knew it was him adapting to his ankle injury, that he’s still got to have an operation on this Summer don’t forget,, and coming back into the side overweight.

I think people forget that he was genuinely in the worst form of his career in the Autumn. Even his own body language was admitting that as he was pissed off with himself.

Since the turn of the year though there hasn’t been a better player in Europe!

I think if he wins the PL and CL this season he goes 2nd. Henry was something else. The dribbling, goals scoring and assisting was the best ive ever seen in PL.

It is sad, but cl or not he already cemented himself as legend of city. I don't give a single f about recognition from wider football community, for me he already one of the best.

incredible first half. phenomenal. drifted out of it a little in the second
