The man is already the best midfielder in premier league history. Others may have had longer careers here but that never produced what he's producing game after game, season after season. He's still got a fair few years left in him at this standard to cement that legacy and wait for the bitter non-believers to concede he's the greatest and I wouldn't put it past him to reinvent himself and add a fee more years on too of that too. We're witnessing unrivaled greatness.

The greatest! Can't overstate how important his first goal was.
What a brilliant goal it was too. He is unbelievable. It’s quite amazing that there is debate at times around this fella as to whether he should be starting! He is a fantastic player and we are lucky to have witnessed what he delivers for us year after year. One of our all time greats.

Been watching football a long time. Seen some brilliant players live. Thought Henry was the best I've witnessed live or was it Zola, then along came our own magician David Silva.

Sorry chaps you will all have to step aside. Football just wont be as enjoyable when Kevin De Bruyne retires. Without a doubt the greatest player I've seen.

Felt like a bit of a career defining match to me.

Obviously he’s had countless big games and moments, but he turned up to a title deciding match and just gave the league leaders an absolute beating.

A performance that will be talked about for decades if we win the title.

Also 5 assists needed now from the last 7 games to break his own assist record.

With Haaland playing he can do that.

I think he may be the most underrated player to play in the past 20 years, maybe ever. When he’s down, we we are down. The man is a genius, and deserved the Ballon at some point. If he played for Madrid it would have happened.

What can be said that hasn’t already be said?

One of the best midfielders to ever play the game, much less in England.

It is absolutely absurd that he has never won POTM.

A bit like El Mago, in that everyone that actually knows anything about football knows he is one of the best to ever grace the pitch but he rarely gets the individual awards to demonstrate that for posterity.

We need to give him the CL this season; he at the very least deserves to lift the trophy before he retires (hopefully not for a few years yet).

Amazing performance,he completely bossed the game and led the way.

Literally ran himself into the ground, hence asking to come off.
