Many of those fancied to be top scorers are barely off the mark, and there are very few clear contenders for a player of the tournament so far.

This tournament is suffering dramatically because of it. It doesn't help that third placed teams get through, which leads to negative play being rewarded from the second game. The first games were quite exciting and it was a free hit for most teams. They all then had two games where one win and one draw could still see them qualify. It rewards the defensive and mundane.

Things will become a bit more interesting in the QFs. International football always has that slower rhythm because of what is at stake, but teams in a simple system with players that run a lot are easily competing with teams that have far better players on paper.

England currently are doing a great job of running less and having a shit system.

It won't surprise. When I read his confirmation he was staying... Ir read to me like a 'come get me' message.

We know Kev is a blunt dude. He said, and I paraphrase "I haven't talked to anyone and I'm returning to City. But if there was a deal I can discuss with Pep and it wouldn't be a problem."


That to me says, I'll stay and finish my contract unless a great deal for me can be reached elsewhere. And if so I'll go and it won't be a problem.
