17 | Kevin De Bruyne - 2024/25

Seen similar on Twitter, like incredibly baffling tbh. Refusing to play because of fear of injury? How come all of a sudden our players are suffering mentally? I mean they’re human yeah but this will be 3 players in a very short space of time, surely thats unnatural. I’ve only ever known players not to play due to mental reasons to be quite rare.
If it’s true and it’s a big if thens he’s done with us and this is the end .

Apparently it was already decided that he would be named as a substitute but not come on.

What’s the point of that? He can still support his teammates from a few rows back in the stand, why does he take up a spot on the bench today? Give it to an academy lad.
It is a statement from Pep.

He looks pissed off, he already in his own subtle way called out those who are nursing injuries. He wasn't going to have Kev sat at home, so named him in the squad and made him travel to prove a point, you wouldn't think it would need to happen between two men who have known each other several years but thats how it looked to me.

Why are you believing anything bad about kev, he is the most committed player since he got here, played injured many times to help out and is a fiece competiter who always wants to play

Wobble yer heads ffs
Sorry number one fan

You may well be right, but I just had it in my head that they'd all be travelling straight over to Lisbon ahead of Tuesday?

It is odd to have him on the bench and not look anything like he was intent on being used, but let's hope he's fit to play some minutes in the next two games.

they went back to manchester.

Kev played when he shouldn’t have with his hamstring and it almost ended his top flight career, requiring a big surgery and 5 months out. He clearly feels he needs more time with this injury and is protecting himself. Good man! I did the same myself with a broken foot I played through by having 4 injections between the toes on that foot before every game…until I called time on that shit!

KDB is in the twilight of his career and has one last big deal in him…and it’s not going to be at City! He knows it, Pep knows it, Txiki knows it!

Kev has given his all, and more, for this club and his country. He’s broken his face, played through injuries, and been sidelined by bad injuries. He’s also been knobbled, got back up and won games on his own (the Spurs, David Silva “21” game springs to mind) and so no-one can fault his fight for the cause. However, enough is enough and he needs time to heal. I, for one, will give him all the time he needs and thank him for his extraordinary service when he goes next season.

Get well soon, Kev! We’d love you back when you’re ready.

Nothing to do with being number one fan , if you dont care to get to know players after years of them being here that is up to you , engage brain before believing twatter

Your posts have been fucking stupid these last couple of days, calm ths fuck down
It’s called an opinion. As for getting to know the players well they play for my team and that’s about it on a personal note they don’t know me and I don’t know them . As for my posts being stupid then if we have had a great summer recruitment.
