His legs have gone, undoubtedly, and the effort he has to put in just to keep up with the pace of the game seems to have done for his technique as well.

But Guardiola doesn’t do him any favours leaving him on there for so long - he was done after an hour and should have been hooked.

I got shot down last season for saying you're never seeing the old Kev again and people are deluding themselves if they think so.

You can't have the injury he had last season at his age and come back the same without losing something. Some on here wouldn't have it.

It's not his fault, he's just getting to his mid 30s and had some bad injuries that required him to almost a season. It is what it is.

He's been the best in the world at his role, now he's not. Everyone has to fade eventually, no matter how ridiculously good they were. That's sport.

Time for some to come to terms with.

I’d genuinely take him out of the squad entirely for a while and get him focusing on some physical work. Try and get some mobility / agility back, probably lose a few kgs as well. And then bring him back in towards the end of the season and see whether he still has anything to offer moving forward.
