Every year we don't have navy socks, the navy socks become my favourite more and more. It's been ages now and they were a City staple from 1894 half a century.I wouldnt be averse but those maroon toppers is perfect for me.
Always prefer sky blue with maroon, may be an age thing, but navy always look like we've forgotten our socks and borrowed them off the pe teacher to me.Every year we don't have navy socks, the navy socks become my favourite more and more. I too like the maroon turnovers (maroon is my favourite colour for our away kit) but i wish we'd just have navy every now and again, again.

Surely only to children.Like it or not it's just a bad colour, especially the dark navy we would want to use if we went full retro and your manufacturers will want to know one thing and one thing only......will it sell?
My guess is a dark navy sock wouldnt.
That said do socks even sell in significantly high numbers anyway?
I always think kits look better with a different sock colour to the rest of the kit. It's more individual to a club.Always prefer sky blue with maroon, may be an age thing, but navy always look like we've forgotten our socks and borrowed them off the pe teacher to me.
