on twitter now - @1894group

im always willing to help organise stuff and pay towards ect..

nice one. best way is to keep getting the citycentre coach as donations from the branch will go towards 1894, or become a member next year of ccb. likewise anyone from any branch can get involved, appeals will be done on here from time to time and we will fundraise via bluemoon paypal, so anyone who wants to see something talked about and planned on here can make that a reality

Always on the bus ;)

-- Sun Apr 07, 2013 8:55 am --

alright trev, there's nowt to be confused about & if you are able to pop over for a pint on 27th we can speak further but in a nutshell..

this atmosphere forum is here for those who want to discuss the atmosphere at length without having to take up everyone's time on the main board

the idea is to get like minded people together so we have a way of raising issues, coming up with ideas and raising money so we can put ideas off here into place quickly - without having the petty arguments or miscommunication of the past

would be the easiest thing in the world to put an appeal on the main board for a flag day for norwich - this is about people getting together and building it for the long term. so there's a sticky at the top about how to donate now but we will take that sticky to the main forum pre-season to bump up funds at a time of greater interest. that way people become familiar with what we are trying to do over a period of time

we've already had a couple of flag days this seasona nd the atmosphere was good in those games. do another one v norwich, how big/small it is depends on what gets raised. ric gets an email anytime anyone donates however big or small. we will then be able to see who the main donators are, where they come from. we can then see who the most committed people are and the drivers for any new group would come forward naturally

before when we have had groups no-one has agreed. this is about getting more involved but by doing it low-key, those who want to be involved would gravitate to it naturally. it also controls expectation level as we are saying big things - euro style displays - to come in september when 1) more money in the kitty & 2) everyone behind it.

if we were in a position to spend 2 grand a game on displays and had 50/60 volunteers that would leave the pub early to do stuff we would be doing it now. we're fighting apathy but as long as we don't go away, by the time they expand the ground or any further movement on safetstanding takes place, a fans group like this would be in a good position to engage with the club

blue alliance did it all before. this way people from blue alliance can work and donate together with other like minded people - discussions on bluemoon, donations to one central point - ie ric from bluemoon and then discussion about where the money goes - usually based on most popular ideas. so everyone can have a say really. that way people who weren't "sure" about the blue alliance before can get involved and help shape things rather than feeling they'd be on the outside for whatever reason. if number of MCFC SC branches come forward and donate occasionally or individual members from certain branches end up donating and playing a part you've in effect got a new sub-committee of branches that the club could then deal with

club are monitoring this new board

Only a suggestion but maybe if people were shown ideas that funds might be spent on, how much these projects cost etc, it may encourage fellow blues to donate?

If say buying a new flag costs £Xxx we could be shown the flag (jpg), and the cost, so members on here can have an understanding of how much to donate and what they are actually donating to.

Our branch (north bury) have agreed to commit funds to the 1894 group project. Just makes my job harder right now going to the branch treasurer and asking him to throw members money into something unknown.
