Firstly, well done to everyone in the 1894 Group for all your efforts.
Secondly, why does our home`singing` support still have to be split from 2015/16?
The `new` South Stand provides the opportunity to establish the entire level one as a CITY only Blue `end`. Where in world football is the home , more vociferous support, split? Can you imagine The Kop being split or the Holte End or in fact at any other major club?
Why is it that the away fans can not be allocated part of the new level 3 for PL games and up to all the level 3 for cup ties? Is the counter argument that they will create more noise and therefore the prefered option is now to split away fans over 3 levels in narrower bands if there is a demand thus reducing their visual and noise impact? What will happen in the future for cup ties - where will up to 6,000 away fans be accommodated? This has always been a big issue at CITY - giving City`s Home `end` to away supporters - it`s absolutely outrageous.
Once again thanks to the 1894 group for what you are trying to achieve.

Cities problem is not the South Stand being split but the fact the North Stand is family only. The Kop would be the equivilent of our north stand as the Anfield Road end at Anfield is like the south stand, a mix of home and away fans.

Personally I think the club should shift the family stand to either Colin Bell or East Stand level 3.

1894 can hardly fill a block or two when trying to get things going so what makes you think they can fill a whole stand?
The concept of moving the family stand for thease mythica none existent is laughable.
The location of the singing section isn't the problem, it's the number of ppl that want to be in said section that is ( with noisey working class joe who wants to sing and shout being out priced )
I think you would find that if the singing was loud enough and carried to the family stand, those kids would happy enough join in, I know my lad dose on the odd occasion it carries..

why not move the away fans to 324,323, 322 or swap the current away section to 118,117 and upper 218,217 and move our singers to equivalent away section thus joining together with 111'109 etc.

re the constant mentions of "put the family stand in level 3" - it will never happen because most kids like to watch the action from close up and see the players faces, not squint at them from high above. I know when i was a kid i loved being right at the front (ie front 10 rows).

(and i don't have any kids.. so have never sat in the family stand, but just wanted to comment!)

Yes that's fine but an off shoot of doing this is that you have a poor atmosphere in the stadium. When an entire one quarter of the ground is families and kids then you'll get no singing from that side. It means you'll never get a decent atmosphere going.

Whys that then ?? You suggest that the main stand create more noise and atmosphere then the family stand??
I suggest you have never been in the family stand...
You will find that songs have died out long before they get close to the family stand

I've been in the family stand. I remember jumping up to celebrate when barry scored the 91st minute winner against reading and the woman behind me told me off for not staying seated when it went in.

It was certainly rocking....

I would say the main stand create significantly more noise than the family stand

Half-time update. Being honest.

The teams performance aside.

It just isn't working/happening.

1 - 2 rows trying, but the rest of the SS made up of Dad's, Mum's, and Children(half-term/chdap tickets) in general, aren't joining in.

The odd City song that everyone knows spreads across the blocks to a point, but other than that nothing. Disappointing.(being honest) :-(

It's a shame but we have to accept we just don't have the type of fan that generate atmosphere anymore. It's crucial that 1894 continue and the singing fans stick together because gone are the days of when we'd have a whole stand of passionate fans a la Maine rd. sad but true.

was at the game tonight, gotta say the atmosphere was poor, great turnout though. I was sat quite near to the 1894 group but as mentioned most of the stand was full of families and kids ( btw not as if the regulars make lots of noise). I got told to sit down by a steward. There just wasn't enough singers, we need about 200/300 fans in a section singing not 2 or 3 rows of fans.
Keep going with it, we just need more people to join in with it and more people in a block.

One thing that did annoy me was the amount of moaning going on around me, no one trying to get behind the team, only making noises when someone made a mistake. city seem to cater for everyone other than singers, we have nowhere in the stadium for singers to go to. I felt awkward tonight being the only one to get up and try and sing, with everyone just looking at me

we do though the 7,000 at blackbrun away, the thousands against united in the semi final we do have the fans, we just need to get them all together

I stayed to the end but got told to leave the stadium by a steward then whinged at for walking along the seats to leave at a different exit.

No wonder the atmosphere is shit and people leave early.

Power mad stewards
