Did they bring him back to be nice? Disgraceful that he was allowed to play 90 minutes.

I think your overestimating what Gundog has left to give.I think he shouldn't start games, but he could be useful to control games when we have a lead to protect late on in games. Nunes should start in midfield, that is our best option right now.

Re-signing him would have made sense if we had already invested in another midfielder who was fit and ready to play, but we had not. It would also have made sense if we knew we could rely on other senior players to remain fit, which we knew was not the case. We knew from the last minutes of that Leeds United game that Gundogan’s days in midfield were numbered, especially when playing without Rodri’s presence, so what we’re witnessing is unsurprising.

Agree on every other point except City not being elite.Sadly he is going to damage his legacy.
He is done as a player, legs have gone and he knows it.
Great romance to bring him back but a stupid decision that elite clubs don't make.
We are an elite club but we are also a bit soft for my liking, sometimes loyalty is great but it can also come back to bite you hard as we have seen this season.Agree on every other point except City not being elite.
Maybe we have been too loyal for too long for a few of our players.

Stupid decision in hindsight but when we re-signed him it wasn't. Gundo asked the question, Pep answered it and we brought him back much to the gladness and approval of the majority on here. I seem to recall you being positive about it, I was.Sadly he is going to damage his legacy.

It's clear for all yo see he's past his best and struggling but he's playing more minutes due to our injury situation than he should be. When we get De Bruyne Foden Silva back to their best and when we get a solution to Rodri being out then we will hopefully use Gundo sparingly.
