3 or 4 big games a year in Spain, then we all thought he would be the razzmatazz Gundogan from when he left on his return.

I must have been watching a different game. Thought he had his best game for us yet.
He was neat with his passing, won the ball regularly and he was often trying to play the ball forward in an attempt to create something. Nunes on the other hand …

He’s the fat 45yr old ex semi pro that rocks up in every Sunday league game. Lovely touch but moves like a tectonic plate. Brilliant player for us in his prime. Sad to see him fade like this and I’m sure it was never intended.

It's because the standards are just too low these days, if someone doesn't have complete stinker, he played well.

Bringing him back was the correct decision but playing him constantly now isn't.

Him coming on as the fox in the box when we need a goal would be a brilliant asset to have.

I disagree. His playing time is hurting the club. We suck with or without him. At least some young guy, perhaps even the McCatee who I personally don't rate could be getting some deserved experience or game time to see if he'll eventually be good enough. Wright who I tate can be gaining experience working out his kinks.


Instead we are stuck on reverse. Learning nothing other than what common sense should have told us: ***Our aging star is past his prime***

I hate everything I see. I just love him to much to go crazy. He, Bernardo and Kevin don't have the physical energy to show for the ball nor do they particularly want it.

I really really didn't want him back. Didn't want to remember him this way :(

That ball in the first half that he leathered at Foden from about 8 yards away - near their 18 yard line....fuck me.

I was saying in my head...don't do it, don't do it, and he did it. He had much more simple options available but chose the hardest one. It resulted in losing the ball and the rags breaking on us.

Sadly, he looks physically and mentally shot.

Absolutely no problem with him being at the club in a coaching role during a rebuild of the squad, but it's clear he's got very little to offer on the pitch anymore.
