Seems to be able to deputise for Kevs role just as well as he does for Erling. Think we'll be able to give him the minutes he needs.

I think he'll be more than satisfied with how his first year in Europe has gone. He's the first person Pep looks to when we need a goal or a creative spark off the bench and has been given regular starts aswell.

When De Bruyne goes off into the sunset I can see Alvarez in his position, completely different players in style but will provide energy and goal threats. Then we will potentially have Bellingham sat next to Rodri, now that could be some middle of the park going forward.

Great that he has signed a well deserved and improved contract , i can see him being similar value to Jesus (another regular for his national team) in the squad , he will get plenty of games and score vital goals , our Argie recruitments never let us down , Kun , Zabba , Tevez (excluiding his golf holiday) , and now Alvarez.Whoever is in charge of our South American recruitment knows his onions.

He needs more playing time, it's not just a matter of whether he's willing to sit on the bench for much longer, cutting his playing time will be also detrimental to his level. Someone may argue that he played the entire 2nd half last weekend, but he had no service at all and you could see how impatient he was becoming.

Often when he comes on and other subs follow the intensity and shape fall off so he’s left isolated.

Absolutely agree with more playtime
Good thing we are in multiple competitions
hope he feels he joins the right club

Won us the game today, signing of the season, imo. He will be one of our best players for the next 10+ years. He needs to be playing every match next season.

De Bruyne-esque goal. I hope he goes on to be de Bruyne-esque match winner for City. He is a winner, as the world saw at World Cup.

I can guarantee there will come a game this season where nearly everybody underperforms and this guy single-handedly drags us over the line kicking and screaming. He has that kind of dogged attitude and bags of quality.

Instead of writing how much I love this guy, I will just bump this post of mine from 8 months ago.
