I was a huge Jesus fan and was incredibly disappointed to see him leave but seeing both Haaland and this boy arrive has more than made me forget my disappointment.

Another huge talent we got for peanuts because we are now a destination these players want.

Remember when Pep said John Stones had the biggest balls of anyone in the room..

Well today Julian had the biggest balls on the field today.

Twice he was hounded by 5 Fulham defenders and both times he kept the ball, hell he even scored once.

I've said before.. no one benches Haaland, not even Shearer in his prime so Julian will have to learn to play another position.

I actually think he's made an incredible case today for playing attacking midfielder for City!

His pressing is second to none and he has incredible ball holding ability, vision and a top shot.

Rodri would be proud of that goal!

Sold Sterling, Jesus and Zinchenko for 125m, signed Haaland, Alvarez and Akanji for 85m.

Best business in PL history?

I quite liked Jesus, but he and Sterling scored 30 goals between them last season. Currently, Haaland and Alvarez are on 65 and counting...
The 60m on Phillips and Gomez took the shine off things unfortunately, but in isolation, even if we spent twice or three times on Alvarez than what we actually did, he’d still be a great buy.

Crazy that Alvarez already passed Jesus' last season tally and will pass Sterling with 3 more goals, all while being a backup on his first season.

Fantastic today, full of energy, intensity and capped the afternoon off with a sublime goal. It shows the strength of our squad when he is not a guaranteed starter in the first team, that would n't be the case at any team in the PL.

Alvarez is worth at least 70m now and we signed him for what, 15m?

We can sell Phillips and Gomez for 50m combined. But if they stay, they are likely to get better next season.

I thought 15 league goals and 20 overall for Haaland would be a success, given the first season difficulties of City players under Guardiola. Haaland probably had surpassed those marks in October or November. Alvarez actually may get close to those marks by the end of the season. Amazing.

In the PL this season:

Alvarez scores every 123 minutes
Rashford scores every 160 minutes
Salah scores every 168 minutes
Nunez scores every 172 minutes

I know City create more chances than United, but to do better than Rashford in terms of goals per minutes is incredible, given this is Rashford's best season and he is not new to the PL...

Edit: Alvarez is scoring at the same rate as Kane. Only Haaland (every 71 minutes), Wilson (104) and Isaak (108) have a better goals to minutes ratio.

And Julian doesn't take penalties like other players in that list.

He is really good isn’t he. Not easy to play 2nd fiddle to the best striker in Europe. But we have some some brilliant glimpses of what he is capable of. 14m. Unreal business.
