La araña es tremenda, fue uno de los millonarios del gran River Plate, ahora uno de los multimillonarios del gran Manchester City.

VAMOS CITY

Bloody exciting player. One of the most highly-anticipated youthful players from overseas.

Reminds me of Tevez how he runs with the ball. Could see him in the De Bruyne role behind the striker when Kev goes off into the sunset. What a bargain and what a player he is.

Similar start to when Gabriel Jesus first signed for City. An encouraging first season hopefully he can stay injury free and fully develop.

He's not even begun to show what he is fully capable of,a box of brilliant tricks and a fantastic attitude.

A real shame we don't get to see more of him.

Similar in terms of volume but so different in terms of variety.

Thankfully, Alvarez has got loads more in his locker. Keep him fit, like you say, and he'll score 20+ per season.

Song for Julian while watching the match to the tune of incey wincey spider:

The incey wincey spider, he knows what we're about,
he'll take on your defender, he'll clean 'em fucking out.
He came from Argentina to play here in the rain,
his name is Julian Alvarez, we'll sing his name again.

His enthusiasm is infectious , leads by example and he has been vastly underrated this season by some of the media , he is known for being second fiddle to Haaland , which is an insult. He is the most promising forward player in the league , in a couple of seasons he will be mentioned in the same breath as Kun & Tevez and will be just as important to our club , what a footballer.

Thought he had as many good moments as he did bad tonight.

He worked hard as usual though.
I totally agree with you, it wasn't great but it wasn't bad either as some mentioned in the match thread,

I thought he actually played pretty well tonight. At times, he was our only player dropping to demand the ball, then turning and driving at the West Ham defenders when he got it.

He won’t always score worldies, some times he’ll just contribute energy and drive, which he did tonight.

Was all over the pitch in first half and close to being our best player (not saying much I know).
Faded in second half and unsurprisingly hooked.
Does most things so well and great prospect my main bugbear with him is he sometimes has a heavy first touch which I'm sure will be worked on and improved.
