Looks the real deal , typical Argentinian energy and never say die spirit , he is going to be a star in a blue shirt , he is a goal poacher and a great alternative to Haaland or could even play off him , he will terrorise premier league defenders.
If we ever play a 2 up top he would revel in the space that Haaland would create

His pressure makes defenders make mistakes and allows him to always be in the right place to capitalize on balls in the box that aren't properly taken care of. I'd love to see what a 442 with him and Haaland would look like.

To be honest he's been very similar to Jesus for us, fantastic work rate, pretty good at everything, yet should've scored 3 with a couple of pretty easy chances wasted.
I really liked Jesus, so suspect I'll really like Alvarez.

Would be nice to get him into the team with Haaland to see what happens.

Imagine Jesus stayed and we went with a Jesus Haaland Alvarez front 3.

That would have been a pressure cooker for any defense.

Jesus is playing very well currently - but he rarely/never played this well in our side over years and years.

Perhaps Jesus has upped his game at Arsenal - but more likely he's having a statistically unlikely good run of form.\

There's a good reason why we let him go.

We are talking about his pressing, he may not have played well in some games while he was here but I can't think of many games where he failed to cause problems for the team we played against.

I think its much simpler.....

He is playing for a manager who has 100% faith and confidence in him,and is playing him consistently as the team focal point. He has also given him the armband, which speaks volumes.
