Only chance the team created for him he almost scored, direct shot, no previous control needed. He didn't play well but let's be fair, the whole team sucked big time.

He seems to only play these games where the team is not creating anything for the striker.

Can't really judge a striker when given so little service, hope Pep can trust him in serious premier league games, with Haaland in some capacity if he has too.

Maybe LW with Foden RW if Haaland has to start every game.

Lovely movement, especially dropping deep into holes but needs to be much more productive when he receives it, almost seems to panic.

Still like to see him on the wing properly, I think he can get more minutes there with his energy and dynamism like we used to get from Jesus.

Full of running and clearly talented but it might take a little time for him to reach his potential with us.

He's still learning, just got to be patient.

There's reason of why he mostly on bench, hopefully people expectation for him become more manageable from now on.

Yeah not impressed with last few performances, struggling positionally. Gonna be a slow build

We won’t see the best of him until he gets regular game time in a strong line-up. Whether he will ever get that regular game time is another question entirely. I had hoped that with Sterling and Jesus gone Alvarez was something of a shoe-in to play a lot. It doesn’t look like it will pan out that way.

Looked like a lost boy tonight.
But I have no doubts that with more game time him and Palmer can have plenty of success for us

He almost works too hard, I wonder if we need to coach a bit of that out of him, chasing the ball down across the back 4 gets a reaction from the crowd but if his lungs are still in his mouth as the ball flashes across the box a minute later its no good.

He'll get better with time though, he looks like he tries to play a lot of combinations with his team mates in tight spaces so that will take time to gel with the other attackers. His touch, technique and attitude are all top class, definitely ready for this level, just needs a little polish.

Wasn't good last night but not many were to be fair. Had Mahrez scored the penalty he and we would have had more space to exploit in the last 20 or so minutes, but he didn't and Dortmund stayed compact all game. They did it well to their credit.

Don't underestimate his potential. He's good enough to be going to the World Cup with one of the tourney's favorites. For starters put deBruyne on the pitch, lose Mahrez, and have Bernie on from the get go and then we'll start evaluating him. In fairness even the Viking couldn't get anything done with the mix and match crew Pep put out there.

I think it's far too early to make a judgement on the lad but scoring a double hat-trick of 5 well good goals and a tap in suggests he has a natural strikers instinct, Aguero and Messi certainly think so.

I think he'll come good but we may have to wait until next season before we start to see his true potential.

Felt like Ferran Torres in some games yesterday, totally invisible. Easy to slag Mahrez off but was not easy for the wingers when he was not linking up. Could be tiredness as well as he’s had a long season.

Seems to struggle when he's up there alone, but understand it's not easy to play as a lone striker. Even there were doubts towards Aguero playing upfront alone during the earlier stages of his career.

Still think he's a talented kid who's adapting to a new level of football. At least he's trying and running his arse off.
