Thought he was very poor overall today to be honestI'm not his biggest fan by any stretch, but like Nunes, the criticism of him was wildly over the top. He played well. I do think his ball-striking ability is overrated, but he's a good player and works his butt off.
Agree. He is Gabriel Jesus like with worst dribbling, but better shooting.
I like that ype of player, that even when they sre playing like shit (which he currently is), they still make the team play better. Great pressing, movimg everywhere and creating 2v1 in different zones...
Individually, he's been shit for 2-3 months now, but I like what he brings to the team.
Glad I'm not the only one. He was far more involved than Haaland, who everyone seems to think played great today.Don't get the criticism myself, he doesn't stop moving all game and doesn't hide.
Didn't quite pull anything off today but never hides and more importantly let things get in his head.
Puts in a lot of effort to llittle effect. Always a bit short of decent. 5/10 today.
Basically, he's turned into Gabriel Jesus with a World Cup winners medal.
I think he may well be moved on for big money in the summer while his stock is still high.
dont disrespect jesus like this.Don’t have short memories he kept us up and amongst it when Haaland was missing, he’s a great player and we are lucky to have him……and dont forget his age neither, fucking Gabriel Jesus comparisons, hang on a minute
Even if Halaand leaves I don't think Alvarez will be the one as the main no 9.He is 20 goal a season striker ,problem with letting him go is that Haaland is non-committal to the club .
Doesn't need to be cheaper. As for better... The lad isn't being allowed to play his natural game as a striker at City. He's being used as a makeshift midfielder, like Jesus was.which backup striker will you buy thats cheaper and better than him?
We'll see.Alvarez has more medals in his team caddy than most players have tea bags.
Fantastic player and the future along with the other youngsters
