I'm not his biggest fan by any stretch, but like Nunes, the criticism of him was wildly over the top. He played well. I do think his ball-striking ability is overrated, but he's a good player and works his butt off.

Thought he was very poor overall today to be honest

I like that ype of player, that even when they sre playing like shit (which he currently is), they still make the team play better. Great pressing, movimg everywhere and creating 2v1 in different zones...

Glad I'm not the only one. He was far more involved than Haaland, who everyone seems to think played great today.

He is 20 goal a season striker ,problem with letting him go is that Haaland is non-committal to the club .

Even if Halaand leaves I don't think Alvarez will be the one as the main no 9.

Doesn't need to be cheaper. As for better... The lad isn't being allowed to play his natural game as a striker at City. He's being used as a makeshift midfielder, like Jesus was.
We need another proper midfielder and imo preferably go back to false 9 when Haaland isn't playing.

Would have Jesus back in a heartbeat in place of Alvarez on his current form , but neither of them would be good enough to be our number one striker , although i would have a look at Izak at Newcastle he is a really good striker , has pace and can finish with aplomb.
