The thing that's REALLY astonishing is that they have no excuses.

It's not like they have a new manager, trying to find his feet. It's Mourinho, in his 2nd season at the swamp and what, 7th or 8th season in the PL?

It's not like they haven't had any money to spend, nor that they haven't spent much.

It's not like they've bought youngsters and been building for the future.

No, they have gone absolutely balls out to win the league at whatever cost, with whatever short term, stop gap solution is needed. They've given their absolute best shot, and finished 19 points behind. A truly STAGGERING level of failure.

Wenger might be tempted to call Mourinho a specialist in failure ;-)

This exactly! They even went out and bought the mercenary in January for mega wages. I cannot believe they are not getting slaughtered from all sides, cup final or not.

To me it was a club sanctioned banner which was aimed at pisstaking our club. That's why it always grates on me how that shit stain of a club is seen as some saint of English football.

It was done with the permission of the owners. the chairman, the board and the manager. Also I will never forget going into my local to watch City live and Rags arriving in their red shirts just to have a laugh because of our lowly position. They are and always will be just United fans NOT football fans.

As for forgiving? Does ANYONE really care what United fans think of City? What ANY other teams fans think of us? We are our own worst critics, and always have been, because we have a sense of context for our success and have seen the depths that create humility (at least those of us who didn’t arrive on the scene in 2012 or thereabouts!) and have the endearing ability to laugh at where we have been and embrace it!

The reason it was so despicable is we were light years away from them at the time with no hope of catching up. I fucking hated them for it and I will never forgive them.

But that's the way they've been ever since they moved to the once-delightful urban district of Stretford. Nothing will change, they will not see the slightest chink of light crossing their path that might make them think. They are everything that most football fans detest about football fans.

I still remember getting a text from a rag moments after we lost in fa cup at home to Forest not many years ago. It was the third round Jan 4th. "Happy New Year".."Enjoy your Cup run"..
When you have lived amongst it for a lifetime; indeed you enjoy the good times, and enjoy the revenge. It makes my life almost complete. Don't forgive and don't forget.
