I was there with my Dad. Very very young. Remember the winner like yesterday though.
Was it Slik.Swapshop: ‘Midge Ure used to be the lead singer with which band? Answers on a postcard marked “Ultravox Competition” please to London N14’
With jokes as bad as that you could keep this going forever and everWas it Slik.
Too right. It was Brian Moore who was the ITV anchorman and a superb broadcaster. The football analysis was great in those days with people like Brian Clough and Malcolm Allison and the players giving proper interviews. The focus was on the football not political issues. The idea of a player describing his thought process as he provided an assist while watching it back was very effective.
I had to google that song because I just didn’t remember it. Then I did and wish I hadn’t.With jokes as bad as that you could keep this going forever and ever
It wasn’t on live I don’t think so most people will have knownWas that ITV coverage? I like the way how they don’t want to tell you the result at the start of the programme but still introduce Man of the Match Francis Lee who will discuss the game later.
Just come across this on YouTube, just look at the state of the pitch
