On its day and full strength our current team/squad can win the CL.

They can indeed but why make it difficult.

As much as I would love us to win the Champions League, I think we need a ball playing holding midfielder (an upgrade on Barry) and also a calm central defender who is also capable of turning defense into attack without just "lumping" the ball forward.

I also think this is one of the situations where we invite other teams to put pressure on our defence because we can't always play the ball out from the back quickly enough all the time. We have done this on occasion, such as Arsenal in the cup last year, (but they had quite a young side out in this game) and we just cannot be incisive enough when changing defence into attack.

I also appreciate the fact that Kompany hasn't started this season as he finished the last one and this is one of the reasons we are conceding goals at the moment, but I'm sure Mancini and the defence as a whole will sort this out. A few 1-0's will be a good start from this weekend onwards.

The main reason we're conceding goals is 2 fold. 3 at the back and no Barry.

Agree about Barry. We need him back asap.

He won the league, he wants De Rossi, the fans want De Rossi. Just go and buy him fucking De Rossi. If we'd put a big enough offer on the table all we'de have heard from that sodding press conference is how Roma need the money and they'll always be in his heart.
I am not sure that is the case. Juventus look strong this year and Inter have made a comeback, but the league is still pretty open. Milan are trying to save money at current. So maybe he fancies this is his chance with Roma to win the league. I admire De Rossi's and Totti's loyalty. It takes a lot to spend your life with childhood club, even though they perhaps will never win as much as you deserve.

Re: Quiet before the Storm

can,t see this storm you,re all hoping for i,m afraid,,,, unless you count maicon and sinclair as a storm.....imo,,,,,

Roma might get in the Champions League but they will not win the league in my opinion.

Juventus look like Champions for me despite no manager. Inter look good as do Napoli and possibly Lazio.

The current Roma side does not look like a Champions team if you ask me.

If you can "save up" for a Ferrari in two days, how about you buy my Swiss made dark chocolate stool?

It is a win-win because we both know of all european economies the Swiss need our hard earned money the most!

With that in mind. That's throw some Francs toward FC Basel for Fabian Schär.

The bad news is I have invested my money in both the Spanish and Italian banks and the Ferrari is for The Swan (albeit a toy one) if DDR signs.
