2 Days to make Mancini happy

A tad harsh one thinks..

I'm just fucking around. Seriously though, you have to admit it's a disappointing transfer window. We're not going sign a marquee player this window now, it is too late, all our primary targets (Hazard, RVP, Martinez) went elsewhere.

How many marquee players can one squad have though and stil function? It's quite possible none of those 3 would even make the starting line-up had they signed, as great as they each are.

I have not seen more than a couple of Martinez games and cannot judge how good he was since I was not really paying much attention. However, he would come in as at worst 3rd choice at the back. If he is as good as people would say then he would replace Lescott. Would imagine Kolo would have left to make room for him.

The same for Hazard. I had not seen much of him and had no real opinion on him, only heard good things. Like with Martinez, he would be 3rd choice at worst, but from his hype would probably take Nasri's place. Adam Johnson going opens up his place in the squad.

RVP was probably just to replace Tevez. With Tevez staying I doubt you had a strong desire to sign him, since Balotelli and Dzeko both would have been off. Being 4th choice striker behind 3 other world class strikers is too much for anyone.

Ultimately hindsight is 20/20. Missing out on first choice targets is fine, if you have a good 2nd/3rd choices available. Leaving things late is not good.

Shocking transfer window.
I can't see us signing anybody else at all, we can't even get Scott Sinclair.

Complete lack of organistation and a complete City esque cock up.

You know this for a fact?

Does he fook, like the rest of the clueless wankers who have polluted this forum recently.

It's like RAWK on here at times, you criticise the club and the happy clappers swarm.

Happy Clappers rule ok.. we try but no one can help the needy.

Poor window so far, and I don't think anyone can deny that.

We have got rid of the deadwood, on the main, but I would have thought that should allow us to bring one or 2 superior players in; perhaps tomorrow is going to be busy, doubt we will leave it till Friday.

I have said on other threads, we aren't desperate for signings, and nor did I expect a huge influx of big names, but I am surprised we haven't strengthened YET. Rodwell isn't an upgrade on NDJ; may be in the future, but not in the short term. Don't know enough about Nastasic.

And whilst we have a good squad and a great first 11, there is ALWAYS room for improvement; we won the league on GD, and united have brought in Van Persie. Plus, I thought we would want to push on in the Champions League.

Like I said, we weren't desperate for signings, as we have a great team, but if we have only brought in Rodwell, Nastasic and Sinclair by Friday I probably (at the risk of being called a spoilt brat) would be a bit underwhelmed.

What makes me laugh is that the people who now say 'you are being a spoilt brat, we don't need anyone etc' are the same people who at the start of the window were saying 'it takes time when you are shopping at harrods and not primark'.

From what has been said Nastasic is potential Harrods. Rodwell is Marks and Spencers, could be Selfridges. Sinclair is maybe Sainsbury's finest...!

We were supposed to be making a serious challenge for the CL. Everyone knows these signings aren,t up to the task. Basically its a poor show so far.

On its day and full strength our current team/squad can win the CL.

Personally it was what was expected. We had to get rid of the deadwood first and we cant sign too many stellar names as we have them in our team already. We have to be sensible in this window. Our new CEO with a bit of luck will be a major asset and who knows we could be breaking the Transfer Record if the chance arises.

They can indeed but why make it difficult.
