Can't help thinking that with hindsight we should have signed Cahill last Jan, then Hazard when the window opened....which I'm sure we would have done except for agent fees. If Dzeko goes then we need Falcao next summer. The obsession with a ballplaying holding midfielder I can understand, Barry isn't getting any younger and Yaya is approaching 30 too. Xabi Alonso is one of the best around, but if we need to find the new Alonso. Maybe Sahin, Isco or Banega would fit this role. Hopefully Cirigliano could be brought in, but he has ruled out a move for now.
Whatever happens between now and friday, i wouldn't like to see either Walcott or Rooney at City. Both overrated and lack mental strength when things are going against them.
