2 Days to make Mancini happy

I think we are all missing the point here in that the owners and the manager wish to take us onto the next level and compete with the best in the champions league.
With the signings we have missed out on and the quality of signings made or about to be made this will not happen this season.

Apart from an experienced CB and a winger ( to give that extra dimension ) the one position that is paramount to our improvement in the champions league and maybe retaining the EPL title is a quality playmaking midfield player.I know we have Silva and Nasri but we also need a De Rossi / Alonso type of player that will break down defences when the quick one two's are not working.

My frustration is that we are that close to being a truly great european team.

The truth is that the FFP rules are really tough and we face a real challenge to meet them.

We would have paid £30m in the past for Martinez but just cannot do this anymore. The squad's wages alone must be well over £10m per month, which is why Adebayor has effectively gone for free and we would probably pay to get rid of Santa.

The academy is the way forward - I reckon we are good enough now anyway. Once Kun is back and with Silva & Nasri in lethal tandem we will be ripping teams apart again.

I would not swap any of our players for a Red. Chelsea worry me more but wonder how they will fare with FFP.
