Peckham. I believe Rodney was a headhunter

Delboy and Rodney would've both surely been Millwall if they were Peckham lads.
I partially remember an episode where Rodney was rubbing shoulders with the yuppies and said he liked to go in the shed end. Unless my head is cabbaged by age and drink/drugs (very possible)

yes, the character references Chelsea on occasion, and he took his girlfriend to a game at the Bridge.

In one episode where Rodney was getting married it emerged at the ceremony that his middle name was Charlton, so I assume that the Trotter family were Charlton Athletic fans which is in South London fairly near Peckham

That episode was UK Gold this afternoon. Can confirm his middle name was Charlton after Charlton Athletic

Do you actually go to the game , serious question ?

MCFC OK

Tbilisi was definitely at the match. I was drinking with him in town beforehand en route to the game.
I was actually pleased that we played "One step beyond" again as I've got sick of the crap Mourinho
has been dishing out and thought we should give a bit back. Did it in flame the situation? Yeh, probably
but their knobheads were looking for trouble anyway so it would have kicked off regardless. The police
were mainly to blame - why do we not keep away fans in after "big games" especially where they bring

6,000+ fans? It's just asking for trouble.

Not wholly sure you can keep fans locked in these days

You're right I think it is of questionable legality but they tend to do it regardless at Old Trafford.
We have done it occasionally in recent years. If my memory isn't deceiving me, I think we did
it against United in the FA Cup.

I keep meaning to ask London football confuses me

Where about in London do Chelsea draw their support from? I can work out Arsenal and Spuds (North) West Ham (East End) Palace (South)

An old friend was a Chelsea fan and he was from Neasden near Wembley.

Chelsea are from Battersea, Stockwell, Brixton (that could explain John Major) Vauxhall, , Clapham, Merton, Lambeth, Southfields, Tooting, Streatham, Mitcham loads from round Staines, Chertsey, Slough.

Had the misfortune of working in most of those places

I think anyone who recalls the 1986 Full Members Cup Final know's what Chelsea fan's can be like? I was only eleven but can still recall the scenes today. Especially outside with herds of Chelsea fans rampaging through peoples gardens hunting down City fans like wild animals. The recent success and money of the last ten years seems to have masked over the fact they have always had one of the most violent and hostile followings in England.

Remember it well. We were on a tube after the game and four forty-something Chelsea fans with scarves tied to their wrists and long hair (one looked like Francis Rossi out of Quo!) were trying to provoke us with a series of comments: "It's a long wye to gow howme when you've lost" and "City are shit".

My mate and I didn't bite and got off for our train back North. I'm not sure two other young lads were quite so savvy and were engaging them and it kicked off. Not being interested in trouble and sensing we might be outnumbered we didn't hang around as there were other Chewwsey hoodlums around.

Chelsea were appalling in the 80s for racism (they booed and racially abused their own black player Paul Canoville) and
their element was notorious. Chewwsey may have a more sanitised image nowadays but like many clubs their thuggish element has never gone away. And yes they have links with the unsavoury elements of Rangers support and are a bit of a haven for the casual racist.

I had an uncomfortable walk back from Mitchells to Ibis budget.Nothing happened but you could sense it could have kicked off from the Chelsea clowns at any time.
What surprised me was the bigotry involved.Never heard that before from an English club.

My mates and I, all in our 50's or approaching 50 also walked back into town past the Mitchells up to Deansgate. There were 2 groups of Chelsea about 100m apart singing all the way into town, obviously looking to goad City fans into a reaction, no doubt the bigotry was an added intent on their part...?!
Do Chelsea have a firm still.....?
I wondered where the cops were, normally they line the route for FA Cup games where there is a large away following. There were none last night so I guess the information and/or intelligence to suggest there would be no trouble or potential trouble was wrong....?!
Thing was, not so long ago they would have got it with no cops about, we were laughing amongst ourselves, seething actually in part, because we seriously wanted to shut them up, you could see and hear other grown men saying just the same.
If you turned and looked at them, they actually shut up because most of them were younger lads, but the potential was there I guess.
I'm too old for this fighting shite now unless it's unavoidable, things hurt for too long afterwards...!!!
I've no doubt they will be crowing back down in London about how they made us shit our pants on our own patch, well.............nobody shat themselves, and I've no doubt they will be around on Cup Final Day with some Cockney Rags.
I think they are responding as the Rags fans have done as we get stronger on the pitch, United can't hack it, hence the increase in animosity and trouble towards us, guess Chelsea are at it now and I suspect others might join the queue....?!

How racist those Chelsea fuckers were, they won a game 2-1, but some of the Master race that follow Chelsea, refused to acknowledged the winner, which might have been scored by Paul Canoville, but due to the players skin colour they took the match as a draw.

Never used to trap off with the white supremacist stuff either when around certain people, in fact they were like mice,
bell shafts the lot of them, despicable racist twats.
