Walker is having a great season so far - our defense now looks very solid in large part due to Walker's current world class defensive form.

Thought he was brilliant again other than losing the ball twice in the second half. He is a great player.

He’s currently playing at a consistently high level and I thought he was good again tonight. The 2nd goal was all about him. Jesus with a great finish and KDB with another assist but it was all about the Walker to KDB pass.

He was superb last season, probably our second best player behind kdb but he’s in even better form right now. Comfortably then best form of his career and currently the best defender around in my eyes.

I trust him to contain Mane at the weekend, just needs to work on not even giving him the opportunity to dive in the box

Walker reminds me of a really top tier American Football cornerback.

He just covers about 1/3rd of the pitch and you know that if someone tries to breakaway in that third, or a ball is played through, he is going to get the and win it. Playing the ball to someone 1v1 with him is futile, and if we've not already seen it, then we soon will see people just not bother playing the ball out that side. People like Zaha, Adama Traore etc will just stay as far away from him as possible.

I've said it before but I think he's the best defender in the world in open play by a mile.

Nice to see him get some recognition.

That sort of thing is why I don't think he can ever be considered a world class defender.

He's a phenomenal athlete though.

He was poor all game, his passing was terrible, one of his worst performances in a long time, Cancelo totally outperformed him which was a surprise.

Had a stinker of a first 20 minutes but recovered ok. a big drop in his form today compared to over the last month but we have to consider he was up against probably the best forward in the league right now and did alright in the end. Not a good time to have a drop in standards but he’s not an issue.

Stupid foul, but he’s been outstanding this season with his energy. I don’t mind players making mistakes, as long as the commitment is there than I won’t be critical of a player.
