Stepped back in and was superb , had Martinelli in is back pocket all the match , he has to play against Madrid to stop the threat of Vinicius Jnr. , he might be the wrong side of thirty , but still the quickest player at the club.

The game was perfect for him last night. I'd rest him against Fulham cos its a different type of game where the focus is more on breaking down a packed defense and he's not great at that generally.

Against any team with pace he'll be needed again.

Weird how things come together isn't it. He looked like his rest had done him the world of good and could run another 10k if Pep asked him to. Needless to say, a fit and hungry Walker is an incredible asset to have coming into this part of the season.
