Pep wining and dining him in hope that he stays, then making him captain is disgraceful. He wanted to go.

We have had his best years and he should have left on a high.

Bizarre we are relying on him to create chances via crosses and through balls. Still has something to offer us defensively IMO but regularly caught very high up the pitch recently, which can only be a tactical decision
