Well, he’s certainly had some experience in the bush. Can we get him into the jungle at this short notice?

You are probably correct. The difference/problem will be that Neville is quite open that he knew he was done. I’m not sure Walker will be so self aware.Unfortunately he's had his Gary Neville moment
Players in my experience are strange characters, I agree from the outside Walker is the last person you would expect to be a captain but the rest of the players clearly don't feel the same.Clearly struggling. Lost his pace and it's like losing his 'superpower'.
My issue is the captaincy.
Leaders are people who set an example. He doesn't shirk, he doesn't hide, but I would want my captain to be someone I looked up to.
His 'off the antics' raise questions about his personality and his loyalty.
The players still are comfortable with Walker being captain. Nothing us supporters can do to really alter that decision.Clearly struggling. Lost his pace and it's like losing his 'superpower'.

When the line up comes out and I see Walker's name on it I know we will be conceding and struggling for a result. I don't give a fuck who is injured Walker is no longer an option. All the great servant stuff aside in the now keep him off the pitch period. He didn't learn to position himself, because he's arrogant, he probably thought he'd have the same pace all his life,no mate you won't. He used to get away with it, because of his pace, but now that can't save his poor positioning.
He may have his little foibles (!) and he’s no Einstein, but I’ve always seen him as a bit of a warrior. That, plus his evident loyalty to team mates, will most certainly sit well with colleagues. The players still are comfortable with Walker being captain. Absolutely, maybe Walker just isn’t as well media trained but every interview he just seems to leave you wondering.I'd prefer Ruben as captain but it's hard to complain too much when the players vote for who gets the armband.
You have completely ignored Dias' message and turned on our captain, the most successful captain in the Clubs history!I never for one minute doubt why the club and players do a lot of things, they have earned that right this past few seasons.
However why is the public pisser, adulterer Walker the captain of my club when Ruben Dias exists with genuine sensible intelligence such as this…

Just remember..Whatever we think of Walker, or for that matter any of our players, at the moment they need our 1000% support.
Father Ruben speaks well there and we just need to batten down the hatches, get behind the team and shout and yell and chant and even scream our hearts out.
Because we are THE BEST TEAM IN THE LAND AND ALL THE WORLD.
Just forget our concerns about why things have been going wrong just become part of the team, the whole Manchester City team, the club, players, coaches, and especially the fans, us.
Sorry for the ‘rant’ I’m just annoyed that this is the time the team needs fans and this stupid body of mine won’t support me to get to support them. Ggggggrrrrrrrrr. :-) :-)
To those who argued against me - I fucking told you so!
Shame you don't heed his words..I never for one minute doubt why the club and players do a lot of things, they have earned that right this past few seasons.
