He’s a winner, a legend (some won’t agree) and a fundamental part of the success we’ve had since he signed.
But….. his powers have diminished, his speed has gone, he’s getting toasted by players not fit enough to lace his boots.
So, the time has come.
Take the money in an easier league.
Don’t damage your legacy.
And hopefully we get a few quid back.

Good luck to him, he's been one of the world's best defenders with us. He's made Mbappe, Vinicius and others look average more than once. Not many defenders can say that.
