There was a moment in the first half where did his trademark " I will allow you a head start because I'm Kyle Walker and I will catch up to you" and of course he didn't catch up to him, and the worse thing is the Juve player wasn't even quick, he just jogged past him.

I understand that there is few options with all the injuries so he has to play, but please explain to me how this guy is still captain ? it's one thing to lose your pace and not being able to catch up with younger attackers, it's another thing to be so deluded and arrogant to think you still have it and do the same stupid shit every game, he also never takes any responsibility, so again I ask how is he still captain ?

I’ll answer again for you.

The players voted him as first captain. If he plays, he is captain.

Does anybody else get infuriated by his throw ins? He takes an eternity, regularly ignoring the simple 4yard throw and return and they're more often than not straight to the opposition anyway
Hahaha. I've mentioned this before. You can almost see his brain working through his head when throwing the ball in. Drives me up a wall.

Don’t know if it’s age, time spent at the club or just that they get on with him, but he’s not captain material.

All the documentaries, you can just see that Dias, Rodri and Gundogan are leaders. I was really surprised Ruben wasn’t made captain during his first season, in which he won POTY.

I agree with you. I wouldn’t vote him as my captain, but we’re not in control.

I was merely answering his question about why he actually is our captain and will be every time he plays this season.

We badly need a defender or 2 in January.

How the fuck there is even a conversation about captaincy with what he is doing on the pitch its fucking mind blowing. So irrelevant its incredible.

Dias, Gundogan, De Bruyne and every other fucker doesnt need an armband to fucking show a bit of pride and be "shouty" if thats what people want.

It's like somebody poses a riddle to him everytime the ball goes out of play that he must solve before taking it. I suppose it's in keeping with the rest of our game though, every making must be done at a snails pace.

He's consistently bad this year. He's always been where attacks go to die, but now he's awful defensively, particularly from a positioning stand point and has undoubtedly lost half a yard of pace. Other than that, top captain material.

He wasn’t at fault for either goal tonight I didn’t think.
And I’m his biggest critic

Gvardiol on the other hand…..
Walker was at fault for both. Didn't go out to block the cross because he thought Bernardo was going even though he was further away. It was in the right back position so I don't understand the hesitation.

2nd goal lazy as per usual not getting back in. Should have been in front of McKennie. Not having Gvardiol blamed for that one. Josko has to get himself between the Juve player on the ball and the goal in case he gets past Lewis. One of our midfielders should be tracking but Walker should have been the extra man.

I am done with Walker and have been for over 12 months. Would honestly rather play with 10.

Peps biggest mistake was Porto champions league final but hard to argue persuading Walker to turn down a £30m move to Bayern 18 months ago isn't up there.

Gvardiols initial clearance for the first was pathetic
At least get it out for a throw
Then he was out jumped for the header from the cross that came in

Not for the first agree but when you have your right full back allowing any striker to have over 5 metres space in our box something is wrong. He hasn't got the physicality to get back anymore so should know that and play a bit deeper - thus keeping his side in a game. He has never had the strongest football brain and now it is showing more and more.

Just about made it back into shot for their second goal. I'm not blaming him for it, but it's a classic example of the lack of effort from the entire team to get back and defend, jogging back seems to be the norm now.

I hate his lack of ability to cross a ball. He continually gets in the kev spot at the corner of the 18 and either takes a touch before trying to cross, to kill any forwards movement, or just passes it back. Lewis is also a main culprit of this.
