He has been absolutely immense for us during Pep’s era and a huge part of what we have achieved. Magnificent pace and engine in his prime , sadly age has caught up with him he deserves a nice retirement in the sun .

Not been a good year for him on or off the pitch. It is probably a season too far for him with us and probably should have gone in the summer.
Good luck to him where ever he goes anyway, I suspect he needs to replenish his bank balance. He leaves with a lot of good memories and medals.

Only played a part of the season but QPR won the Championship in 2020-11, and I’m pretty sure he played enough games to warrant a medal.What did he win with QPR?

Some of the selfless running he did beyond Mahrez/Sterling etc., with no hope of ever receiving a pass, wore out countless opponents.
By a mileHe's the best right back this club has ever had.
Skip is a legend, but nowhere near Walkers level of abilityHe's no Tony Book.

Those moaning that he's a bad captain or even coward surely prefer him to sit out his contract til summer 2026 instead of raising some cash for us now and make way for the next generation.
I do make a difference between his private life and all his tireless effort for City. He was a huge factor in many of our titles.

It's a shame how it's turned out really. If we'd accepted that offer from Bayern, his reputation would be much more solidified than it is now. As it is, it's a little tarnished because we've witnessed his decline. And it leaves a sour taste that our captain is asking to leave in the middle of a season where we've had struggles and really been needing some leadership.
He's been a cracking player for us for many years, and played a key role in some unbelievable achievements.
I hope it gets sorted in this window so that we don't have the lingering presence of someone who wants to leave for the rest of the season. Hopefully he goes to a league where he still has another year or two at the right level, where he can earn a shitload of money and maybe even sort out his personal life.

I think there are a couple of reasons Walker went to Begiristain instead of Guardiola...
A) He didn't want to fall out with him, but most likely...
B) He didn't want to be talked out of it again by the best manager he's ever had.

If you believe that you believe anything. Fucking wise up. Clearly loads going on behind the scenes, he's getting rinsed in his personal life, he can't compete the way he used to and there's a big offer from somewhere that will sort his financial worries out obviously.Can't be due to ditching his teammates halfway through their worse season while he was supposed to be their leader.
