No but Rico ain’t the answerAren't we in for a few defenders that will free up Akanji.
Its not that Walker has been playing regularly for us this season
I said it would free up AkanjiNo but Rico ain’t the answer
What I'd give for an Ashley Cole to play left back for us. Had a strong shout of being the best left back in the world for a few yearsI’d say he was the best ever right back in the premier league and Ashley Cole was the best left back.
What will go down for me at the very of top of the list is Kyle being told that he wasn't starting XI for Istanbul, and instead of sulking he gathered all the lads together and said "Go out there and live my dream, win it for me lads". If that even made 3% difference, if it was the crucial 3% that pushed us over the line, you can see why they've elected him as captain. There are things we'd never know, that we'd never see, if it wasn't for the cameras. This season - it is what it is.
I came back from Istanbul and the GLW who watched it at home was still in bits about his interview after the game and his ice cream story. I watched it and yes the lad has lived the dream in a City shirt.
He’s a legend and I will always think so.
Good luck sunshine whatever you do.
I think he's just 34 now and that's all there is to it. He's always had off-field nonsense going on because that's just the way he is. He's never let it bother him before and I don't see why he would now really. Players who have shit going on off the field normally like getting out there on the pitch for a distraction and Kyle was definitely one of those. Will we get a fee or will City just let him leave on a free
Look on his day he's outstanding and his recovery pace helped Pep form a new system of splitting the 2 centre-backs and tucking in the left back into midfield, Without that recovery pace City and Pep would never have won so many titles,
But let's have it right here, Over the last 12 months something has gone wrong with him both on and off the field
He's been sloppy and ghosting games and sounds like he wanted a move in this window,
If accurate, then fair enough, but why wouldn't the captain let his manager of 8-9 years know first instead of him having to find out through Txiki? That's bush league. Just my take. There are no problems with Pep and Walker.
Walker asked to leave because HE feels that he hasn't been up to par this season and if he stays, he'll do more harm than good to both City and himself. Recognising that you've lost your legs and are causing harm to the team is EXACTLY why he was made captain by the people who actually know him personally rather than watch him on the telly and have no idea what type of person that he is.
Probably explains why Kyle has been rejecting the armband recently. Has clearly realised something isn't right. I did say the other day, after the West Ham game, that it felt like Kyle's version of that Gary Neville West Brom match, where he basically retired at half-time because he knew he couldn't do it anymore. Sounds like Kyle's had the same thought, but what a career and what a full-back he's been. There are no problems with Pep and Walker.

Think we will get a minimal fee from Saudi maybe 5-10m as 15m was on the table last year. Will we get a fee or will City just let him leave on a free
