I think by his performances this year, he seems to have past it. I think its the best option for all concerned. All we can do is thank him for the amazing player he has been for us and wish him all the best.
Nail on head. Absolutely a great decision for all concerned.

And if he ends up in Saudi, he'll be best full back in league again.

He was unbeatable for maybe 90% of his City career and find it baffling why any City wouldn't wish him well. We've all made mistakes in personal lives but judge him in a blue shirt and been our best ever FB I've seen in 35 years.

If had left at the end of last season I think he would have been better thought of by some moaners on here. This season has been a shocker for him and he rightly has seen that he has lost a yard or two of that amazing pace he had and I think his private life has hindered him performance wise

Won't deny his contributions. I would also just let him go for free. He's checked out and has sorta performed like it too.

thanks for the memories kyle

coulda/shoulda maybe 6 mths too late, but dont blame him trying to squeeze another season at the top level

good luck wherever

no fee, let him have the signing on free from his new club. it's the minimum he deserves for the service and success he's contributed over the past 9 years.

Great player, not IMO a good pick for captain. My lasting memories will be of his (many) good contributions rather than the way his time here ended, but I’m looking forward to seeing the armband on Dias or Rodri or someone a bit more suited to the role. Maybe my problem is I’m always going to be a bit underwhelmed by anyone who isn’t Kompany or Fernandinho.

He has made his decision which tbh is probably best for him and the club.

I thank him for his service and wish him well in the future.

A great servant for the club amd best RB in the premier league era, if I get the chance I will clap and cheer him one last time to say goodbye

Fizzled out a bit the last few months but let's be honest he's been a top player for us with some outstanding performances along the way.

A brilliant player but it is time, IMO. His tumultuous personal life must be a strong factor in his decision and in his decline, IMO. If I had that chaos, there is no way that I could be as professionally focused as I needed to be.
