Fizzled out a bit the last few months but let's be honest he's been a top player for us with some outstanding performances along the way.

Absolutely - back when Mbappe was a genuinely terrifying player to face, Walker shut him down in a way that nobody else could. There were several Champions League seasons especially where we'd have probably been eliminated much earlier if not for him.

why would we terminate ? we would have to pay his remaining wages shirley?

If saudi league teams are willing to pay a fee we ask for a fee from any european clubs

Seeing his battles with - and absolute domination of - Vinicius were extraordinary.

Especially the ones at their place. Just a player at the very top of his game. Giving a rapid player a head start then still catching up to him. Same with Mbappe. And Dembele.

The first few years with us were elite. He knew his strengths and was more than happy to play to them, not pretend to be something he wasn’t. It’s always a pleasure watching a player who is so obviously in his prime and for him it was extra special because his profile as a player was so unique.

Fantastic player. Had the arrogance and pride to dominate the world’s best and that same arrogance and pride has meant he can’t continue playing here because he knows his legs (and head) have gone. Which is fine. It’s better than watching him cost the team week in, week out.

Thanks Kyle, it’s been a pleasure. I don’t think we’ll see another full back like him for years. Strong, rapid, good on the ball and elite winning mentality.

Great post.

Not if it is by mutual agreement, I imagine.
That's how I read it. Gentlemen's agreement so he can sign for anyone he wants without any fees getting in the way.

If had left at the end of last season I think he would have been better thought of by some moaners on here. This season has been a shocker for him and he rightly has seen that he has lost a yard or two of that amazing pace he had and I think his private life has caught up with him

If he wanted to leave at the end of the treble season, why was he captain? Surely the player you want as captain is someone who is absolutely committed

Exactly. He has always given 100% when I think about the amount of players i've seen since 1974 stroll around for us just picking up a pay checkI 'd say Walker isn't one. I think his off field antics have really tarnished his reputation aa a player and consequently his game. Should have had an old fashioned testamonial year but will now slink out the back door.. sad really. Brought on by his selfish actions tbf.

I just think he's had enough of the shite he's been receiving online plus his personal life maybe is tangled up, he obviously loves the ladies as we know, too much one would say and this is him saying he wants out and a fresh start.
He's been immense for us, gave us his all and I think he's getting out whilst the memories are still good, he's on the decline and I think he knows it.

Been a great servant and has produced some truly World class performances.
Problem he has, and i’ve met him a couple times, he’s very unlikeable to the man in the street, so when his form dropped off, he was always going to become unpopular quickly.

Good luck to him, he’s been a wonderful player for the club.

On a free? I was hoping for a nice transfer fee from Saudi...

I think he'd do well in Italy with the slower pace of the game and emphasis on defending... Do AC use wing backs as well? He could still compete at a high level
