Really hope he is just in bad form and what we are seeing is not his new level.
Was hoping he will step up this season, and takes over from David Silva, but David Silva at his prime was the fucking motor of this team, a heavily reliable creative force, who did win matches on his own with goals and mostly with setting up goals while working hard off the ball.
Bernardo seems lost in middle of our team, does not create the chances, rarely scores, there is not enough space for him, and he does not find the pocket of spaces to unlock deep parked buses.
also tactically we changed for worse, the amount of times David Silva was able to pick an overlapping leftback or winger and create a dangerous chance with that, those times are gone, thats why it is so surprising to see Cancelo doing what he did yesterday with the assist to Foden, but that was a general part of our gameplay 2-3years ago and even before that.
Instead of that Mahrez, Bernardo is just passing it back to Gundogan or CB's and it kills momentum, kills our speed, while lets opponents to relax a bit.
If its the same lets say in next 3-4 months as well for Bernardo, I would be very worried about him.
