I get a bit perturbed when I see the decline of Bernardo excused because he works hard. He is, or can be, a world class and gifted player, but he has not shown it now bar the odd flash for 18 months. All clubs have lads who work hard, but you win things with quality. I like him as a lad and as a player, but there needs to be an honest assessment of his current performance levels.
it may just be to raise funds from what tolmie said it seems we are going for a big rebuild and both of those players have actual value. it would be weird for pep to sell rodri with him always playing but with bernie i could see he doesn't seem as indispensable to pep as he was a 2 years ago.Very much doubt that, Pep started with both in the last games being absolutely desperate to win them after WBA. If Pep thought of them as not good enough, he wouldn't risk to play with them and lose the title already in December. We have won three games in a row with Rodri and Bernardo starting in all of them.
Sometimes common sense + logic tells you everything you need to know. There's nothing to suggest that Pep considers Rodri and Bernardo not good enough for City, especially given Pep's last team selections.
He makes the team better,he retains the ball, regurgitates play and keep the opposition on their toes.Literally all I have seen him do recently is run around like a headless chicken. He is having no impact on any of our games. This isn't a kids sports day, just running around a lot isn't going to cut the mustard.
He must have missed the 2 long cross field balls, or the lovely run past 2 defenders before winning a free kick in a very dangerous area, or the hitting of the post, or a lot of the interplay with Cancelo. Or it could be it’s fashionable now that say “all he does is run around” and that Phil is better (using stats and not their eyes). For me his second half against the toon was excellent, movement, passing, involvement. He makes the team better,he retains the ball, regurgitates play and keep the opposition on their toes.
If we had better movement ahead of him, instead of an audition for Tussauds,he could offer the pass.

Spot on,his contributions of recent have been largely superb. Its and odd place this forum at times, some folk silmply cant see past their own narratives. He must have missed the 2 long cross field balls, or the lovely run past 2 defenders before winning a free kick in a very dangerous area, or the hitting of the post, or a lot of the interplay with Cancelo. Surely the irony of that last sentence isn't lost on youSpot on,his contributions of recent have been largely superb. Its and odd place this forum at times, some folk silmply cant see past their own narratives.

I don't believe i'm guilty,i offer balance in respect of individual performance and call a spade a spade.Surely the irony of that last sentence isn't lost on you
