He will need to do better than that. He either plays as an 8 or we move him on or spend the next 3 years talking about how our players are not clinical in front of goal.

yep, that's what I am talking about, but 10 assists and goals during 17/18 and 18/19 were enough contributions and that's what team was getting from Sane & Sterling.. I am not even talking about Bernardo statistics which isn't and never had been good enough for a RW and if he can't deliver - it means that he shouldn't and mustn't play.

People forget that at this stage Liverpool has scored 2 times more goals than City and until attackers like Bernardo start to score and assist more, this numbers won't change and like Pep says - it doesn't matter what happened in the past or 2 years ago or whatever -> if your number aren't good enough in the present time, you don't play..

That's all we can say about Bernardo and many others..

What we have seen during the last 4 years, there is no chance - he will start to score 10+ goals and deliver 10+ assists per season and if that's not happening - why are we talking about him, playing in starting 11 ?

Same people always write in Gabriel Jesus topic that he isn't good enough and shouldn't play because he isn't able to score as many goals as Aguero does. if that's true and I think it's time to admit - same applies to Bernardo and everyone. Otherwise this team won't improve soon - we will always be stuck in the past

You didn’t call him shit?

You couldn’t bring yourself to mention one positive of his performance yesterday. That’s whilst calling him a one-season wonder and comparing him to Foden who hasn’t exactly stood out for us this season.

The fact you chose his performance yesterday to criticise him when he was just as productive as any other player on the pitch is strange.

Well its been strange for over two seasons then , let me know which of the last two and a half seasons Bernardo has excelled , Bernardo has no assists and no goals in seven games perhaps you can compare that to Foden's contribution this season or even last season , Foden has been by far the most effective player , and no i dont call any of our players shit , if they give 100% they dont deserve that , and i beleive all our players try their best but some are just not good enough. Calling our players shit apears to be your domain.

He is very dependant on his left foot and when shooting often lacks power as do others. If his assists compensated for this defect then fair enough but he works hard but to little effect.
Imo Foden and Palmer should be given more game time.

Never been a scorer a probably never will be. He even lost his place in the national team to Jota. I still don‘t know why people say he has to play. He doesn‘t offer anything in the final third.

Same again tonight. Plenty of running and very little actual threat

Foden has a poor first half, pops up with a fantastic goal and assist. Mahrez is wasteful on the ball, but wins a dangerous freekick and scores. Bernardo is just constant throughout; energy with a total lack of substance.

Bernardo has gone from happy go lucky fun Bernardo to the footballing equivalent of bad superman from Superman 3

Once again required to play in an unfavoured position and take one for the team, and he performed the role admirably and with no lack of effort.

His attitude and approach are a managers dream, although i cant help thinking his talent would be better showcased elsewhere,in a team that uses him in his best position.

Was much happier/better 2nd half when moved to the right.

Absolutely, and it looks to me that Phil Foden fall under the same Category.

Both seem to be getting the same treatment by Pep
