Those instructions would have to be along the lines of ‘Hey Bernie, remember when you came to the club and was brilliant? Yeah well, I don’t want that anymore, those days are gone. I want you to slow everything down to walking pace, instantly kill all of our attacks, only pass to our RB and whatever you do, do not under any circumstances, try to create or score goals’. If he is following Pep’s instructions, he isn’t the problem and we actually need to sack Pep. I don’t buy it.

He keeps picking him and so I have to assume Pep is happy with his performances on the whole

The only attacks into the box that ended up with a shot on goal yesterday came from Bernardo Silva’s play to set it up.

All our other shots were from the edge of the box or further out.

Lovely ball here to Nunes who pulled it back for De Bruyne’s shot that was blocked

Long ball here (something we don’t play enough of) that Marmoush should have scored from

And finding Nunes on the overlap for the opening goal (and watch the footage of it, he waits and waits until the defender stands in a particular way so that he can’t catch Nunes up when the ball is released, top class play)

That’s more goalscoring situations created by Bernardo than De Bruyne, Savinho, Gündoğan, Nico and Marmoush could muster, combined.

The first one is a really good pass but the other two, olease give me a break...that you actually highlight the 2nd situation is crazy, that's an easy ball for the defender and that's 100% Marmoush merit. You trying to give Bernardo credit here immediately invalidates everything else, because only someone that cannot see Bernardo's huge flaws the last 2 seasons would write that.

The third one, cmon any professional football player would be expected to be able to give that pass. What's next? People saying a 3 yard horizontal pass in the middle was important for a goal. And that you say that is a top class play. Laughable. Nunes pass there is 100 times more difficult and important...

When Pep leaves you should replace him as you can see things he is obviously unaware of:-)

I dont think bernardo is finished. There’s lots left in him yet, his tank is just completely depleted right now. I’d be sorely tempted to tell him to go on holiday till the cwc. Feign an injury. The lad needs a total break from football. Think Phil’s the same.

I particularly dislike Bernie shovelling underneath Everton players who jumped mid air and play innocent twice in the game. It’s not shit-housing or necessary but just a **** behavior.

I am a huge Pep fan and I have defended him constantly this season (while accepting some of the critiques). For me, Bernardo is his biggest flaw this season because it's pretty much playing with 10. Pep loves Bernardo the player, and even more important, Bernardo the person. He will have a harder time benching him than anyone else in the squad, and it's not even close.

Thought Bernardo played very well popping up all over the place and keeping things ticking over against a strong, quick, physical Everton team who haven't been convincingly beaten in the PL by anyone since Moyes returned; thought it was a real team performance from City where everyone, including Bernardo, fully contributed.

Unfortunately it’s hardly a regular occurrence. Current De Bruyne has been better than him this season.

Looks like Bernardo is on his way too this summer. As with KDB, it's probably the right decision. Going to be strange not having these players around next season though.

Definitely the right decision, as we said the other day. Hopefully if we ease him back to Benfica then Viana fancies someone from them that we could use Bernie as a makeweight for.
