Just posted on Sky

"Moneybags" Liverpool are ruining football. They are a grotesque club. Football is dying.

But don't let that fool you. It's City that are ruining football.

And they will still not break back into the top 4...Wait for it tomorrow morning..Mickey Quinn,Ray Houghton "Ey lad, buying some world class talent"!! Fcuk me they are wank.

Sorry to quote myself but I was 100% spot on.Mick"the horse beater" Quinn this morning on talk shite stated he was "the final piece in the jigsaw" and he was "better than Young".

Is this guy fucking deluded...I am no rag lover but if it was a choice between the 2 I certainly know which player I'd have.

-- Thu Jul 14, 2011 6:40 am --

As a Liverpool fan I only feel it right to ask ,
where are you getting the information that we have agreed a £20m fee ?
Dont tell me 'Sky Sports'. The gospel of all football knowledge.

Take a brief look at the LFC statement on the official site and then compare it with Sky's own report on their ever so reliable website.

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528, ... 64,00.html

Liverpool have revealed that they have had a £20million bid for England winger Stewart Downing accepted by Aston Villa.

The Reds have been chasing the tricky wideman for some time, with bids of £12.5million and £15million having been knocked back.

Arsenal then entered the race, with it understood that Arsene Wenger tabled a big-money offer for the former Middlesbrough man.

Downing has, however, made it clear that he would prefer to make a move to Anfield.

He may be about to get his wish, with Villa having granted Liverpool permission to speak with the 26-year-old.

Creative

A statement released on the Reds' official website read: "Liverpool FC tonight announced they had agreed a fee with Aston Villa for the transfer of Stewart Downing.

"Liverpool have now been granted permission to discuss personal terms with the player and arrange a medical.

Now, is it just me or does the first line completely contradict the second one that i have bolded ?
Sky also reported that we paid £20m for that Henderson lad. We did not, 13.1M with 3m add ons.

Point of post ?
Dont swallow all that Sky say. Its very naive.

Opinions are part of why we love football and we are all entitled to them of course but please, get the information correct before hand.
I mean no malice here by the way, I wish you the best for nest season.

Another deluded Scouser...Henderson would have been overpriced at 6 fooking quid....!

Throw in:

Charlie Adam 7 million
Raul Meireles £11,500,000
Brad Jones £2,300,000
Danny Wilson £2,000,000
Jonjo Shelvey £1,700,000
Christian Poulson £4,500,000
Glen Johnson £17,500,000
Alberto Aquilani £24,000,000

Thats just recent seasons. They have spent heavily and consistently since the Premier League started, over 520 million with net spend of over 213 million.

Even as far back at 92/93 they were paying huge fees at the time for Clough, Ruddock etc. 94/95 they spent 17 million on 4 players, 35 million in 99/00. We also have spent quite abit ie 92/93 we bought Phelen, 99/00 we spent 7 million but listening to those lot you would think they have never spent a penny. They have just been very good at getting top dollar for thier outcasts

Liverpool will be better next year, but still not overly good. Most likely fighting for 5th with Spurs hah

And they're actually worth:
Luis Suarez £23m
Andy Carroll £15m
Jordan Henderson £7m
Stewart Downing £7m
_____________

Although it's not just Liverpool, it's the state of English clubs who way overprice English players. The ones we've bought are worth:
Milner £13m
Lescott £16m (he is a very good player!)

although Boro aren't cunts, they gave us the arguably £13m AJohnson for £7m but on the whole English clubs are twats and English players are a waste of money!

-- Thu Jul 14, 2011 7:37 am --
