2009/2010 Man City prediction thread...

6th would be great - definately need to get into Europe. I suspect the first half of the season won't be too good but we'll start firing come the new year.

Yeh. That is your target.

I hope you do well. It is about time someone seriously challanged the top four. The thing about Tottenham, Everton and Aston Villa is that they may get past Arsenal or Liverpool for one season but they wont be able to sustain that top four position. At least Man City can. Which makes the league far more intresting.

I think the Uefa Cup is a nuisance for a team who will be fighting for a top four position in 2010/2011.
 
If we can sign 2 quality defenders I still think we can give Arsenal a run for that 4th spot.

I think Arsenal are quite strong. We have plenty of depth. Our first XI isn't as good as Liverpool's but our squad is miles ahead. We have quality cover in every attacking position. They have no cover. Look at all of the talent...

I think Liverpool's long term top four position is much more fragile than Arsenal's because we have plenty of up and coming youth. Whereas Liverpool are at their peak and still not doing much.

I think the long term top four is Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City. Even though Arsenal's short term top four status is fragile we have better foundations for sustainability than Liverpool and Chelsea have.
 
Here is my prediction. If you get Lescott, Toure and Terry then you will challenge for the title. I doubt you will win it next season because it takes some time to establish your first XI and for everything to gel. But you will finish in the top three.
 
Between 4th-6th. Get two quality centre backs in and Hughes will privately be aiming for at least 4th, with 6th being the public target. But i'll be happy with 6th which would mean progression.
