Dont know if its been mentioned already but John and Jehn - Time For The Devil is outstanding French indie.

Cheers Shands and others for the Caribou heads-up.
Maybe its because I knocked off early today and its lovely and sunny and I'm having a beer whilst reading a fantastic book (JG Ballard's Concrete Island) but.....its a top top album.

Also getting a bit obsessed with Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings lately.
A modern group attempting to revive the 60s/70s soul sound with authentic recording equipment. Their 2005 album Naturally is the best place to start. Fucking superb stuff.
agreed ....class!!!! cheers lucky boy toma!!!

I find this site brilliant for new releases and live concerts.

The Drums are the best new band around.

Also, try Julian Plenti...Skyscraper. It's Paul Banks in drag.

No they really aren't.

They remind me of the Thrills. Wannabe Beach Boy do wop shyte. "Doooooooh I wanna go surfing"

Lots of good stuff in this thread.

Some other releases

JJ - jj no 3

[soundcloud]http://soundcloud.com/tacking/jj-into-the-light[/soundcloud]

Goldheart Assembley - Wolves and Thieves

Kyte - Dead Waves http://www.myspace.com/kyteband

Delorean - Subiza

Kitsune Maison 9 has some cracking tracks on it.

I'd also give a nod to the Elle Goulding album which is a suprisingly good pop album. It could be one that dates quite quickly and is a bit much in one listen but each track individually is fairly strong. Not disimilar to Ladyhawke's one of a couple of years back.
