In 2012
with six matches remaining United were eight points ahead of City and the title seemed decided. However, United then faltered with a defeat and a draw in their next two games, while City won to narrow the gap to three points. City then beat United 1-0 at the City of Manchester Stadium to move back ahead of United on goal difference.

Tomorrow we are playing again a Derby for the whole season, as in 2012 we must win, every other result and we probably lose the championship. We play the best football in Europe and in any other league we probably won the championship in March or early April
The crazy thing about the whole story is that the team that will finish in 2nd place this year will break a crazy record of points, perhaps the third or fourth place in history.

Although unlike the 2012 derby the game is not between the first and the second, United is not struggling with us for the title.
So which one you guys think is the biggest derby? 2012 or 2019?

2012, only the Liverpool game at home this year comes close in terms of nerves.

Not nervous for tomorrow, we have everything in place (bar KDB) and I have faith in the lads and Pep.

2012 will never be beat. However, this year will give me so much satisfaction after the bricking incident. THEY MUST NOT WIN THIS LEAGUE!

It will be a damp squib this year, we'll turn up and be professional and get the job done.

They can't turn up and play at 100% without the atmosphere and meaning to the game and they were shocking against Everton.

Whilst they need to win, I think they will be quietly happy to lose. Even Neville was making up the scenarios in which United can afford to rest players this week for Chelsea...

2012. 44 years of dashed hopes riding on it.

This year, if the scousers win the league, we'll take it back off them next year. It's only the inevitable media jizz-tsunami that makes the concept of them winning it so unbearable.

If we don't win the league then we don't win it. No team has won back to back titles for a decade. And we have still been incredible this season. But Liverpool have lost one game and their points tally has been incredible considering they finished on 75pts last season.

In 2012 it felt like it was our only chance and might be the only one we ever got. That win and subsequent title win was epic. And although they won the league the next year, they have since fallen apart. It was between us and them and the derby win was vital. We can lose on Wednesday and still win the league. It would be unlikely but possible. If we had have lost the 2012 derby it would have been done and dusted.
